About Beyond The Wall
Providing opportunities from within the walls and beyond
Beyond The Wall is a charity based in the Walled Garden at Thornham Walks, near Eye. We are a 'not for profit' organisation which means all funds raised go to meet the needs of our members. We work with people aged 18+ who have a learning disability, autism or a mental health difficulty.
Our aim is to provide purposeful work related activities which build life skills, self confidence
and independence. Our programme seeks to include stimulating lifelong learning opportunities,
health and wellbeing and community inclusion.

Our Aims

Purpose
To offer a range of meaningful activities which offer a sense of purpose and belonging community. Tasks have clear outcomes and encourage different skills and abilities to come together to achieve a wider outcome.

Inclusivity
To celebrate individuality and the diverse range of abilities, with people working collaboratively in small groups to achieve outcomes of a high standard.
Opportunity
Creating opportunities for the future through enterprises and building on skill sets. Encouraging individuals to identify goals for the present and future, enabling them to challenge expectations and lead fulfilling lives.

Community
Forging links with our community and the wider setting involves people, raises awareness and creates important links. Building relationships with parents, carers and stakeholders creates important links and a safe environment where we can encourage inclusivity and raise awareness.

Skills
Through purposeful vocational activities and tasks, we are promoting peer support and skills building from each other. We are a practical team who share ideas and support each other by building confidence and resilience.

Independence
We offer a diverse programme that meets the needs of the individuals we support. From creating opportunities for social interactions, health and wellbeing to maintaining core skills and building independence.
