We are recruiting!

We are recruiting a project working for within our small team. The role will be full time, 35 hours a week, Monday - Friday. 

Our friendly and energetic team need another project worker who will plan and deliver sessions and courses to individuals and small groups, based on the needs and abilities of our service users, including supporting our members to work in our tearooms and other social enterprises.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, patience, empathy and a good sense of humour. The sort of person that sees the best in others and encourages them to aim high.

You will need to be a highly organised, positive individual, who is able to think on their feet and have inclusivity at the heart of how you work. You will need to encourage, promote and enable independence and a mindset to strive for better opportunities at all times for our Members

As a minimum you should have:

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

· Some experience of volunteering/working with adults with additional needs

· Good IT skills

· Ability to work on your own initiative

· An interest in gardening and baking/cooking

· Driving licence essential

Phill V-Williams - Lead Project Worker (Horticulture)

As a project worker at Beyond the Wall, I am responsible for supporting people to maintain the walled garden and develop their horticulture skills and knowledge.

I have 15 years’ experience of working in support and education environments, numerous teaching qualifications and a qualified passion for horticulture.


I have a dedication to inclusion and equality, and have spent much of my life involved in promoting this through my work and numerous volunteering roles.

Lisa Dennis - Lead Support Worker

As a project worker at Beyond the Wall, I am responsible planning and leading activities such as Photography, Exploring art and lunch groups. I promote everyday life skills, and encouraging independence and diversity.

I have been working in health and social care for 7 years.  I have an NVQ3 in Health and Social Care and Supporting Teaching and Learning. 

Ann Fitch - Support Worker

As a project worker at Beyond the Wall, I am responsible for supporting people with everyday living skills, promoting independence and equality.

I have been working in the health and social care settings for the last 30+ years, during this time I have attended various training courses, I have been working at Beyond the Wall for the past 5 years supporting individual growth.
