Karen Bleay - Centre Manager
Having joined Beyond The Wall in May 2019 I have now have the privilege of overseeing the day-to-day running of the centre. It's a beautiful place to work - why not pop in to our café and say hello?
I am passionate about every person feeling valued, cared about and safe; only then can they try new things with confidence and step outside of their comfort zone!
A qualified teacher, I taught in middle and primary schools for several years. I set up a science education business which I ran for five years. It was during this time that I first worked with adults with disabilities and found it to be fulfilling and something I naturally took to. In my previous role as Project Manager for The Befriending Scheme, I set up a care farm and also provided life skills training for our members.
Phill V-Williams - Lead Project Worker
As a project worker at Beyond the Wall, I am responsible for supporting people to maintain the walled garden and develop their horticulture skills and knowledge.
I have 15 years’ experience of working in support and education environments, numerous teaching qualifications and a qualified passion for horticulture.
I have a dedication to inclusion and equality, and have spent much of my life involved in promoting this through my work and numerous volunteering roles.
Lisa Dennis - Support Worker
As a project worker at Beyond the Wall, I am responsible planning and leading activities such as Photography, Exploring art and lunch groups. I promote everyday life skills, and encouraging independence and diversity.
I have been working in health and social care for 7 years. I have an NVQ3 in Health and Social Care and Supporting Teaching and Learning.
Ann Fitch - Support Worker
As a project worker at Beyond the Wall, I am responsible for supporting people with everyday living skills, promoting independence and equality.
I have been working in the health and social care settings for the last 30+ years, during this time I have attended various training courses, I have been working at Beyond the Wall for the past 5 years supporting individual growth.
